This is a plugin for Aseprite to download a palette from Lospec.
When installed, the plugin adds a new command to the palette menu : "Load Lospec Palette"
Example :
For the palette greyt-bit ( Lospec.com/palette-list/greyt-bit ) the following inputs work :
- greyt-bit
- greyt bit
- lospec.com/palette-list/greyt-bit
- https://lospec.com/palette-list/greyt-bit
Warnings :
- This plugin has only been tested on windows for the moment
- This plugin runs a command from a terminal ("curl"), Aseprite will show you a popup asking for your permission.
- Running the plugin will create a small log file (it is used to store the output of the curl command)
- (You need an internet connection)

Thanks for making this, it's great! Could I request a few QoL features?
Thanks again!
For those with issues resulting in the error "load_lospec_palette.lua:7: assertion failed" even on windows, you may have to run Aseprite as administrator for the underlying curl command to work.
could you update the script to get the .gpl in lospec when trying to save? it generally comes with descriptions whch are a very nice touch.
I use the Pixquare app on my iPad which has this function of importing the Lospec palette by name, and I was very happy to have found this extension for Aseprite, but as I use MacOS unfortunately it is giving an error "load_lospec_palette.lua:7: assertion failed"
If one day you intend to add support for the Mac and need to test it, I'll be available to help with the tests.
Congratulations on the project, I hope it continues.
I'm getting an error that says "load_lospec_palette.lua:7: assertion failed". Any idea as to why that would happen
What os were you using?
The extension should only work on windows at the moment (I will add support for other systems one day I promise)
Sorry for take this much time to answer, I don't have a lot of time this year with my studies.
